Fisherman’s Loft
The villa
Built with timber salvaged from a decommissioned fishing boat, the loft keeps the village within earshot: footsteps on the lane, the catch being sorted, the evening call to prayer from the hill. The balcony is small and perfect for watching the street below. A queen bed and a single make it flexible for a parent and child; borrowed bicycles by the door make the village and the next cove easy. Guests who stay here tend to know the boatmen by name by the end of the week.
