About HarborStay

A working cove, kept that way.

A terrace set for late afternoon above the cove

HarborStay sits on Kalimaya Cove, where the fishing fleet still leaves before light and the boat builders still work in the same yard they always have. The resort joined the cove rather than the other way around.

From two rooms above a jetty, to fourteen villas

The first rooms were built for visiting divers who missed the last boat home. Word travelled the way it does on small coasts, and the family added a villa a year: a garden villa for the quiet guests, a beachfront pair for families, a loft up in the trees for anyone who asked for the view from above. Each one answered a request rather than a plan.

That is still how the cove works. The kitchen buys the morning catch at the village market before it buys anything else. The boat shuttle runs to the ferry pier and back. And the fourteen villas stay deliberately different from one another, because the guests are different too.

How the resort works

Four rules we do not bend

Water first

Kayaks, snorkel paths and the pool before anything else. Guests come for the water; everything else supports it.

One kitchen

The Cove Table cooks one menu a day from the market, the garden and the boats. Nothing is flown in for show.

Local hands

The boatmen, gardeners, kitchen and front desk all come from the villages around the cove. They also know where the good swell hides.

Quiet by design

No animation walls, no music in the garden, no pressure at booking. The loudest thing here should be the reef at slack tide.

Who you will actually meet

  • A front-of-house pair who answer every request personally.
  • A kitchen brigade of six, most from the villages along the bay.
  • The boatmen, who run the shuttle, the kayak circuit and the snorkel trail.

Come see for yourself.
